Join our affiliate network as an independent contractor, supporting Lifeworks EAP Clients on a referral basis
**Responsibilities**:
- Provide short-term counselling to a diverse set of clients dealing with various personal issues that may or may not be work-related;- Provide services with a solution-focused brief therapy model approach- Manage online referrals promptly - accept/decline cases within agreed timeframes- Contact clients to arrange the first appointment within agreed timeframes- Provide written/verbal feedback and case notes in a timely manner
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Qualifications, Supervision, Insurance and Therapeutic Venue- Registered or accredited by a professional counselling body including BACP, UKCP, NCS, BABCP or equivalent.- Minimum of a Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling or equivalent- Minimum of 3 years post-qualifying counselling experience, with a minimum of 450 client hours.- Professional indemnity insurance of at least £1,000,000.- Registered with the Information Commissioners’ Office (ICO) as a Data Controller.- Regular professional clinical supervision.- Must have access to a suitable, dedicated counselling room that is separate from living areas (if working from home). The entrance to the room must be discrete and not via any personal living area e.g. access should only be via a hallway and should not be accessed via any personal living accommodation such as a kitchen or living room. The ambience of the consulting room should be neutral, i.e. no personal items e.g. family photos, religious symbols etc. The room must be large enough for two or three people and the minimum furniture should be two comfortable armchairs (three if couples counselling is offered). It is essential that the premises and consulting room are kept clean, tidy and professional.- Provision for clients arriving early such as a waiting area. If this is not available, clients must be adequately spaced out and these expectations must be set at first contact with the client.- Short term counselling experience (3-8 sessions) and ability to work effectively in a short-term, solution focused model.
Where permitted by law, LifeWorks employees must be fully immunized to access a LifeWorks office or customer premises.
