**Job Description
Who are we looking for?**
We are seeking proactive and motivated People/HR Department Administrators with excellent communication skills to join a fast-paced People Department where you will be carrying out a broad range of administrative activities.
We currently have a combination of fixed term appointments and permanent opportunities available. As our People Department Administrator, you will have the ability to build effective relationships, with both UKAEA stakeholders and outside talent.
Your efficient and effective administrative skills, curiosity, and desire to learn will help you quickly understand the technical requirements of our internal processes. Being discreet and tactful are key traits to being successful in this role.
You will be a collaborative team member providing a comprehensive, flexible, and efficient service, able to work to deadlines and prioritise work accordingly.

What will you be responsible for?
You will undertake a broad range of administrative activities which support the day-to-day work of the UKAEA People Department. Activities may include inputting into the People Department business systems, arranging and co-ordinating interviews and trainingactivities, completing right to work checks, onboarding new starters, running reports and supporting project work, whilst ensuring compliance within UKAEA procedures and employment law.
You will be required to support work in any of the following areas:
Recruitment/Talent Acquisition & Talent Development
Learning and Development
Onboarding
**Qualifications
Essential skills, experience and competence required**:
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
- Competent IT skills (including Excel)
- Excellent written communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a need to juggle priorities regularly
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Previous administration experience
- GCSEs/O Levels in English and Maths or equivalent
**Desirable skills, experience and competence**:
- Previous experience of working in an HR function
- Working towards a CIPD qualification
- Knowledge of using systems and social media platforms
