We are currently recruiting for a **SENIOR INSIGHTS MANAGER**on behalf of one of Britain’s biggest listed food companies, employing over?4,000 colleagues at 15 manufacturing?sites and offices up and down the country. This position is to bebased at the site in Hertfordshire and offers hybrid working.

**Job Overview**:
Our clients purpose is 'enriching life through food’. The company is about to embark on a transformational growth agenda, which means they must understand our consumers and ensure they are at the heart of everything they do. The insight team aims to bringthe consumer into every conversation across the business. As a Senior Manager, you will act as the voice of the consumer within the Sweet Treats business for major brands. You will ensure that the business understands what consumers value and what informstheir decisions to buy a product as well as understanding their frustrations and barriers to purchase, so that we can more clearly meet and exceed their expectations. Sitting within the brand teams day to day, but working in tandem with the broader insightsteam and reporting into the Director of Insight & Analytics, you will work closely with your team to guide strategy and project execution whilst maintaining your role as an objective advisor.

**Position Description**:
Core responsibilities
- Set the insight agenda, covering the whole range of project types and activities across Sweet Treats:

- Usage and attitudes
- Brand positioning and strategy
- Portfolio management and pricing strategy
- Innovation including white space expansion
- Packaging development, communications, and advertising
- Shopper
- Product development
- Macro Trends: Fit for Future Portfolio of Non HFSS products and white space opportunities
- Monitor ongoing and developing consumer trends and market movements, and embed these into brand activities
- Developing both best practice insight gathering and marketing fundamentals
- Lead strategic insight projects to improve cross-category consumer understanding and insight capabilities

**Skills & Requirements**
- Strong commercial acumen is important to make informed, actionable recommendations, as is the enthusiasm to get under the skin of how the food industry in general works.
