**About the Quality Executive job**

The purpose of your role will be to support the Quality & Responsible Retailing Controller to ensure brand quality, food and product safety stage gates are met for product launches and that supplier due diligence is maintained.

Responsible retailing is a key area focus covering Climate, Environment and Sourcing to ensure the company is seen as a responsible retailer.

You will determine regulatory change and communicate this in support of product safety, risk mitigation and responsible retailing areas, ensuring the business remains compliant with current and is prepared for upcoming legislation affecting its effective operation.

**About you**
- Solid experience working in the food/grocery retail sector in a relevant technical, quality, regulatory, or compliance role.
- Household/chemicals/medicine experience is desirable.
- Experience in supplier engagement and visits to deliver improvement.
- HACCP qualification (Level 3 min).
- TACCP qualification/knowledge with knowledge of developing and managing an emerging (food fraud) risk system.
- Auditor qualification is desirable.
- Ability to communicate and liaise with retail associations, government bodies and other external bodies.
- An understanding of WRAP UK plastics pact targets and GHG emissions reporting requirements.
- Experience in developing, implementing, and managing an ethical trading agenda and experience with the SEDEX platform is highly preferred.
