**Refugee Support Worker**

**You must be able to drive and have own car.**

The role of the Refugee Support Worker is to support and empower individuals and families that are resettling in South Gloucestershire. The support you provide will be client-centered and tailored to each individual's needs, including access to healthcare, education, housing, benefits and meaningful occupation.

You will be there to support families to live independently in the UK.

**Key Responsibilities-**
- Take a lead professional role in coordinating multi-agency support around the family, including organising and leading meetings between the family and the professionals supporting them
- Supporting families to feel empowered and live independently in the UK.
- Provide clients with advice and information, such as access to schools, English classes, suitable housing, welfare benefits, healthcare and wellbeing services, employment and training

**You must have-**
- Proven ability to develop supportive, empowering relationships with socially excluded clients, resulting in high quality client service.
- Experience supporting refugees or vulnerable people/ families.
- Solutions-focused approach within projects.
