**About the role**

We are currently recruiting a **Volunteering Coordinator** who will support Sense Scotland to recruit, train and match volunteers to assist in the delivery of services and programmes to meet the needs of the people we support and their families. This is a newly created role offering a **full time, permanent contract. **The role is hybrid with the expectation that you work in either our **Fife (Kirkcaldy) or Glasgow (Kinning Park) Touchbase **at leastthree days per week**.**

You will be collaboratively working with internal and external stakeholders to potentially match volunteers to service needs, manage the recruiting process and maintain communication via various portals to ensure opportunities are advertised as well as awareness raised regarding the work we deliver at Sense Scotland.

You will also be responsible for improving and implementing our volunteering data, monitoring and targeting key opportunities in the volunteering sector which could include working in partnership.

This is an exciting role for someone who is passionate, enthusiastic and someone who can champion volunteers and the vital work they do to support the organisation.

**Other duties will include**:

- Create an comprehensive induction and training programme for volunteers
- Liaise with managers to arrange volunteer interviews
- Identify and manage potential funding opportunities which could benefit the organisation
- Research local volunteer advertising platforms and utilise this resource to promote opportunities
- Ensure guidance/awareness is provided to volunteers related to policies and procedures as well as safer recruitment checks
- Undertake supervision of volunteers if required and identify successes, training needs and challenges
- Work with the Fundraising Team to support any events which may require volunteer support

**To be considered for this role you must have**:

- At least 2 years experience in a similar role
- Proven record of cultivating and attracting individuals who are keen to volunteer
- Ability to guide and manage positive outcomes for volunteers and the organisation
- Knowledge of tools and approaches to recognise and reward volunteers
- Good knowledge of safer recruitment processes
- Marketing knowledge to attract and retain volunteers
- Have excellent communication skills, a problem solver and good at multitasking
- Ability to develop our volunteer strategies and growth in this area
- Computer literate and familiar with using ICT systems, such as Outlook and Microsoft Teams

This is a **permanent, full time** role offering **37 hours per week**. There is the opportunity to work **Hybrid (min 3 days in the office)** There may also be travel required to other sites and services in across Scotland to meet organisational needs.
