Role Description This is a volunteer role for a Volunteer Coordinator, based on-site in Glasgow. The Volunteer Coordinator will be responsible for recruiting, training, and supporting volunteers to ensure the successful delivery of our programs. Day-to-day tasks include conducting volunteer outreach and engagement, managing schedules, developing training programs, and monitoring volunteer performance to ensure a positive experience for all involved. The role focuses on fostering strong relationships within the community and maintaining open communication with volunteers. Qualifications Experience in Volunteer Training and Volunteer Management Strong Interpersonal Skills and the ability to engage with diverse groups Excellent Communication and Community Outreach skills Organisational and time management abilities Experience in recruiting and retaining volunteers is a plus Passion for community development and digital inclusion Location Glasgow Pay £12.60 per hour (Real Living Wage compliant). Hours Jan 2025 - Mar 2026: 14 hours per week. Apr 2026 - Mar 2027: 10 hours per week. Duration Fixed-term contract until March 2027. What You Will Do Lead targeted volunteer recruitment and onboarding, focusing on engaging diverse and disadvantaged groups. Organise and deliver core digital skills training sessions. Provide continuous one-to-one support and foster a positive volunteer community (Support & Retention). Effectively match volunteer skills with beneficiary needs (Deployment). Use Google Workspace tools to monitor progress and report on targets and diversity metrics. We Are Looking For Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Commitment to supporting individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds. Strong organisational and basic digital literacy (Google Workspace).
