**£20,500 - £24,000**
Our Devon-based client is a top 50 chartered accountant firm and one of the largest names in the Southwest. Their Exeter-based internal Accounts team are looking to expand with the addition of an experienced Credit Controller joining their ranks.
- The Responsibilities:_
- Ownership for customer debt correspondence, including monthly statements, chasing letters and final demands.
- Seek resolution of issues highlighted during the collection process.
- Reconciliation of debtors' ledgers to rectify queries, identify and correct errors.
- Assist in the allocation of credits and cash.
- Responsibility for cash collection figures and aged debtor levels.
- Hold regular monthly client meetings to discuss the debt where necessary.
- Highlighting slow moving accounts and escalating them as necessary.
- Informing senior management to of any particular individual strategy / circumstances.
- Maintain updated client notes for internal use.
- Build rapport both internally and externally to accelerate cash collections.
- Experience in Credit Control.
- The ability to be firm with clients, in a professional and calm manner.
- Excellent communication skills via all means available.
- Have an organised attitude towards work with the ability to prioritise tasks to meet strict deadlines.
- Have a positive, outgoing attitude in the workplace, and happy to work as part of a team.
- Technically astute with the ability to learn the credit control system quickly, and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
