Carriera is proud to partner with an independent award winning property and construction consultancy which is based in Birmingham. Our client has been established for over 40 years and boasts a headcount of over 200 construction professionals offering a variety of services (building surveying, project management, cost management, architecture and H&S/ CDM) to their client base across the built environment.

The business has recently established a CDM/ H&S department which now requires an experienced H&S/ CDM Advisor to join the team and oversee a portfolio of residential (public sector), education, healthcare, commercial, regeneration and local authority projects across the West Midlands and the surrounding regions.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious H&S professional to join a well respected consultancy during an exciting period of growth. The role would suit a H&S/ CDM Advisor from a consultancy environment who has previous experience of offering 2015 CDM advice to clients. The business would also consider H&S professionals from a contractor background who are looking to move into the world of consultancy.

**Responsibilities**
- Offer a variety of health & safety services to a diverse client base across the built environment.
- Manage the H&S file, review construction phase plans, maintain pre-construction information and conduct design risk reviews.
- Attend design team and client meetings and offer advice relating to risk.
- Provide a CDM Advisor service to clients.
- Ensure all RAMS are in place on projects.
- Carryout site safety inspections and site safety audits
- Develop new and existing client relationships.

**Requirements**:

- NEBOSH Construction or equivalent.
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent (desirable but not essential).
- Professional membership to IOSH and APS (desirable).
- Excellent knowledge and hands on experience of 2015 CDM Regulations including all associated documentation.
- Have worked in the property & construction sector for the last 2 years in a H&S capacity.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
