Associate Director, Credit Sales - Global Debt Markets

We are currently seeking a professional to join our team in the role of: Associate Director, Credit Sales

The role holder will also ensure the HSBC values are present in everything they do, both individually and as an organisation. This will be achieved by consistently displaying the behaviours of: Dependable and do the right thing, Open to different ideas and cultures, Connected to customers, communities, regulators and each other.

The role is office-based, working at HSBC offices at Canada Square, London. You should reside within a reasonable travelling distance and be able to work in London on a full-time basis

In this role you will
- Enhance block business and cross selling opportunities
- Coverage of sophisticated credit accounts across High Grade cash product and derivatives across G10 currencies, with the aim to deepen the client relationships resulting in improved market share and rankings
- Identify sales opportunities that address specific needs for our clients and managing from identification to point of sale
- Grow deep and broad customer relationships, to enhance the HSBC franchise and generate value added business
- Build and maintain business relationships with clients in assigned area of responsibility
- Collaborate with other internal businesses within Markets and Securities Services as well as other areas within the Group e.g. Global Banking, Wholesale Banking, Wealth and Personal Banking and Private Banking
- Encourage constructive cross-country and cross-business teamwork by demonstrating collaboration and matrix management in action and challenging actions and behaviours that are not consistent with HSBC's diversity policy and/or the best interests of the business and its customers

To be successful you should meet the following requirements
- Previous high level experience dealing with Sterling accounts
- Knowledge of Asset Backed Securities (ABS) and High Yield (HY) primary & Secondary flow
- Demonstrable success in both sales account management and organic new origination business
- Understanding of complex Corporate & financial services Institutions
- Excellent relationship management skills across internal and external stakeholders with an ability to engender trust and confidence
- Good knowledge of financial services Risk & Governance and the appropriate controls used in a Front Office environment
- Strong Sterling credit knowledge
