As a Knowledge Specialist your role will be to work closely with the key technical stakeholders and project managers across the AWE business to understand challenges and then identify opportunities for improvement and areas where value can be added using better information and knowledge management tools and techniques. Helping business functions to better manage and exploit their business critical knowledge and information assets. To work in an advisory capacity to guide the business stakeholders in best use of information and knowledge management tools and techniques.

Salary - £33,950 - £40,000

Key Accountabilities
- Task managing and supporting information management projects to deliver improvements in information management within the area of responsibility.
- To manage, deliver and monitor services within the area of responsibility.
- Maintain and promote high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security and quality and be a great team player.

Key Responsibilities:

- Providing expert information and knowledge management support to key business functions.
- To help business project teams optimise their use of collaboration platforms to exploit information and knowledge assets.
- To inform business stakeholders of better use of information and knowledge management tools and techniques.
- Providing expert advice, training and guidance on knowledge and information management policies, standards, legislation and company processes and procedures.
- To promote and develop better understanding of the benefits of effectively using records management repositories with appropriate retention schedules.
- To act as a sign posting resource for further in depth expertise in information and records management.
- Work with Project Teams to implement and progress the company Knowledge and Information Management Plan.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of information and knowledge management tools, policies, standards, and procedures by collecting stakeholder feedback and channelling this back to the appropriate ICKM owner.
- Undertake ad-hoc information and knowledge management audits and assessments to produce performance reports that measure compliance, efficiency and maturity.
- Keep abreast of external advances in relevant fields through use of external forums and communities of practice.
- Deputise for the Knowledge Manager, as necessary.
- The Company may require you to fulfil any other reasonable duties aligned to your position from time to time in line with business needs.
