Are you an experienced cleaner that likes to get stuck in? We may just have the job for you We are a farm, and an SEN provision for children and young people. We are looking for a cleaner who can start straight away and help us keep the site clean for our young people.
Hillside is a farm with a main barn with 5 rooms and a toilet block, that accommodates a therapeutic and learning provision for children and young people during the day and also a registered school.
We need a cleaner, for approx. 10 hours a week Monday to Friday. The role holder will be taking responsibility for the general upkeep/cleanliness of the buildings described above. We need someone who can either do 7-9am or 2hrs between 3-7pm.
We are looking looking for a genuine, friendly and hard working person who is willing to undertake a Safer recruitment vetting, including a DBS (police check) and references.
Cleaning materials will be provided.
Tasks Include:
- Tidy and clean rooms, including the kitchen and toilets.
- Tidy and clean walls, doors, skirting boards and all surfaces.
- Change furniture covers, wash cushions and other furnishings
- Empty bins and take to main wheelie bins.
- Replenish supplies, such as soap and toilet paper
- Tidy, clean, dusts and polish furniture and equipment
- Hoover or sweep, clean/polish floors using brooms, mops, and other floor-cleaning equipment inside rooms and outside seating or garden areas.
- Window cleaning, inside and outside
- Cleaning fridges, ovens and other elements in the rooms.
- Other role related tasks potentially available for someone wanting extra hours, e.g. domestic cleaning hours for house on site, cooking, baking, window cleaning etc.
We need assurances that you have appropriate professional boundaries to be in and around vulnerable young people, that you are trustworthy and have appropriate experience. You will also need to have a level of physical fitness, with lots of initiative and ability to work confidentially on your own.
**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 per week
