Key Responsibilities
Now is an exciting time to join SYMCA as it grows to deliver a wider range of responsibilities. This includes the new Tram operating company (a wholly owned subsidiary) and the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (due to transfer in on 7th May) as well as the new Investment Zone representing an additional £160m of investment in South Yorkshire over the next 10 years. To support us on this journey we are seeking to appoint to a range of Assistant Finance Business Partner roles to join our friendly and growing Finance Team. You will support the Finance Business Partner Team to implement the new business partnering model and improve existing financial management processes and controls, strengthen governance and continually improve the quality of information used for decision making.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
As you will work closely with numerous stakeholders you will need excellent communication, interpersonal and team working skills, along with the ability to manage and meet deadlines. This is an exciting opportunity to have a real impact in enabling the organisation to deliver its objectives. The Assistant Finance Business Partner will work closely with other Finance colleagues and internal/external stakeholders to deliver value from these activities to inform and improve performance.
