Entrust Finance & Payroll Services are recruiting for an Education Payroll Assistant to join their friendly and hard-working team which provides finance, payroll and Bacs support and advice to education establishments.

We are looking to strengthen our team by recruiting a payroll assistant who is interested in developing a career in the education and payroll sector.

It is an exciting time to join us to shape and develop the payroll support service from its infancy stage through to service delivery.

The Education Payroll Assistant will support the Head of Service and Payroll Lead a Payroll Officers in the development and expansion of our service. Entrust is an exciting company that has a reputation for excellence, with a wealth of experience and resources to draw on.

**Job title**:
Education Payroll Assistant

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Preparing, processing, and submitting client payrolls
- Dealing with payroll queries and answering queries from clients
- Maintaining spreadsheets
- Supporting the Bacs bureau with daily processing of transferred files
- Answering queries by knowledge of HR systems
- Adhering to all payroll deadlines
- Providing payroll reports to clients
- Carrying our payroll calculations such as maternity, paternity and sickness
- Uploading pensions and looking after AE and contractual duties for clients

**What we’re looking for**:

- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
- A willingness to learn
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Competent IT and Mathematical knowledge
- Problem solving abilities and logical thinking
- Excellent excel skills
Support with training others either one to one, in small groups or in larger briefings
- Ability to plan, prioritise and organise workload to effectively meet deadlines
