A rising force in the telecom industry is on the hunt for a Design System Specialist. This is a unique opportunity to join a world-class product design team at a pivotal time, as they roll out a bold brand refresh and redefine how users experience their services across digital platforms.

**Day Rate**:£400

**Availability**: September

**Contract Length**:4 Months
- As the teams Design System Specialist you will create a scalable, Design System that supports the growing product team, streamlines the component library, and empowers designers to work more efficiently and consistently across products.
- Audit and rationalise existing design system components to reduce duplication and increase efficiency
- Build and maintain a scalable, consistent, and accessible design system across platforms (e.g. web, mobile)
- Develop and document reusable components and patterns in tools like Figma, ensuring dev-ready alignment
- Collaborate with Product Designers, Engineers, and Brand teams to ensure cross-functional consistency
- Lead design system governance — defining rules for naming, usage, and contribution
- Integrate AI principles and prepare the system for tooling like GenAI design assistants or automation
- Support team adoption through training, onboarding sessions, and documentation
- Partner with engineers to ensure design system implementation is pixel-perfect and scalable
- Monitor usage and maintain updates as the product evolves
- Champion accessibility and performance within all system components
- Act as a consultant to support product squads in leveraging the system effectively
