London, United Kingdom Foster + Partners Full time

Quality Systems Specialist – London Join a global design innovator and help shape the systems that underpin excellence across some of the world’s most ambitious projects. Foster + Partners is one of the world’s most pioneering, influential, and award-winning architecture and design practices. From redefining skylines to shaping cities and delivering sustainable, future-focused solutions, our work spans every continent and every sector — blending creativity, innovation, and technical mastery at unparalleled scale. As we continue to push design and technical boundaries, the strength of our internal systems is critical. We are now looking for a talented Quality Systems Specialist to join our Technical Design Group (TDG) in London — a team dedicated to ensuring that every project meets the highest standards of technical rigour, clarity, and quality. This is your opportunity to contribute to a global practice where excellence is not just expected but engineered into everything we do. Why this role? Foster + Partners London is the engine room of an international design practice operating at the forefront of architecture, engineering, and innovation. Our Technical Design Group works directly with project teams worldwide, guiding the development and delivery of high-quality technical solutions. As a Quality Systems Specialist, you will play a pivotal part in shaping, improving and embedding the Practice’s Quality Management System (QMS). This isn’t a back-office role — it’s a chance to work across the entire organisation, influencing processes, performance, technical consistency, and compliance. You’ll be helping us maintain ISO 9001 standards while supporting continual improvement initiatives that drive efficiency, clarity, and excellence across global operations. This is a rare opportunity to join a design-led environment where quality is a strategic priority and where your expertise will directly support projects that define our generation. What you’ll be doing Supporting the development, implementation and maintenance of an integrated QMS aligned with ISO 9001 Coordinating continual improvement initiatives across the Practice Helping integrate QMS principles into day-to-day operations and communication strategies at all levels Conducting and supporting internal and supplier audits, ensuring resulting actions are completed Reviewing and refining quality procedures to strengthen compliance and performance Preparing data-driven reports and analytics for management review Monitoring quality trends, identifying root causes, and driving corrective and preventive actions Ensuring accurate documentation of non-conformances and managing their resolution Supporting the development and delivery of quality-focused training across the organisation Staying up to date with emerging techniques, tools, standards, and industry trends What you’ll bring Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in quality systems, ideally in architecture, engineering, construction or a related environment Experience in designing, implementing and managing integrated quality management systems Strong experience in auditing, compliance, non-conformance handling, and corrective action management Excellent communication skills, including technical authoring and documentation Analytical, investigative, and highly organised with strong reporting capability A proactive, detail-driven mindset with passion for continuous improvement Ability to work cross-functionally and build strong relationships at all levels Resilience, flexibility, and the confidence to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced, creative environment Desirable: Membership in a recognised quality organisation and/or ISO 9001 Auditor certification. What’s in it for you? Joining Foster + Partners means joining a culture of innovation, collaboration, and uncompromising excellence. You’ll work in a globally respected design practice, partnering with exceptional technical, creative and project teams, and influencing the systems that underpin our global operations. This role gives you the opportunity to make a tangible impact — driving quality, clarity and continuous improvement across a world-class organisation whose work shapes cities and inspires millions. This is your chance to be part of something extraordinary.
