And by contributing to clinical research, youre making sure the NHS can meet the challenges of the future, by providing vital evidence on 'what works', so we can keep improving treatments for patients.
Working in the NIHR / Birmingham Clinical Research Facility (CRF) at Birmingham Childrens Hospital you will assist in the screening and recruitment of participants, delivery of clinical interventions and care required for the study (e.g., IV drug infusions, venepuncture, cannulation), observing and responding to side effects ensuring the accurate collection and submission of research data, in line with the study protocols and research regulations.
Our multidisciplinary team work together to deliver a variety of research studies; this might include the delivery of a clinical trial of a potential new medicine/treatment or finding out more about how a childhood disease progresses over time.
