Robert Walters have been engaged to recruit a 12 month FTC Financial Accountant role with a sector leading and dynamic business. The role offers 50/50 hybrid working, SMT exposure as well as the opportunity to drive real change internally.

The Senior Financial Accountant is responsible managing the General Ledger team to ensure that month end is completed timely and accurately and for producing the month end and quarterly reporting packs. This role is a genuine #2 to the Financial Controller,and is expected to step up as and when required to assist both the FC and the FD.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Manage the General Ledger team to ensure that month end is completed timely
- Manage the Revenue and reporting process and ensure smooth and timely reporting
- Oversee the entire month end process including ensuring other areas of finance comply with the timetable
- Preparation and posting of monthly closing journals related to accruals and prepayments
- Approval of journals in line with internal controls
- Reconciliation of payroll related accounts and liaising directly with HR and the third party Payroll Bureau to ensure correct reporting
- Oversee, complete, review and approve Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Inter-company account control
- Managing the consolidation of entity accounts and creating a consolidation process utilising the finance system
- Creating the consolidated TB for quarterly and statutory accounting
- Maintain all JSOX journal and ledger controls and ensure the monthly JSOX pack is completed and approved
- Supporting statutory and internal audit procedures and processes, as well as annual JSOX audit
