**ROLE SUMMARY**:

- Wetherby Senior School was founded in 2015 to offer a progressive education in the heart of London, and is a member of the Inspired Education Group of Schools. There are 452 boys on roll and our students achieve grades that allow them to gain places at top universities. At Wetherby Senior School we seek to employ professionals with the ability and commitment to enhance the life of the School and to work effectively and collaboratively with all members of the School community.- We are appointing Street Safety Warden for September 2025 for the term time only**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- To assist students at designated crossing points, ensuring they follow good road safety rules at all times.
- To assist the operations team in ensuring road safety throughout planned and unplanned fire evacuations or at other times of emergency.
- To maintain a patrolling presence on the route between the school’s two buildings throughout the day to promote the safety and welfare of students.
- To be a visible and approachable presence for students.
- To remain vigilant and to be proactive in spotting and reporting potential hazards or concerns.
- To work with the school operations team and other staff to maintain and enhance a culture of street safety when crossing between the buildings and at the end of the school day.
- To communicate with the local business improvement district street safety officers and other agencies where necessary
- To monitor traffic flow, stop traffic when necessary, and ensure safe crossings as required.
- To log details and report any incidents that occur (e.g., near misses), to the operations team and, if necessary to the Designated Safeguarding Lead.
- To participate in road safety awareness campaigns within the school community.

**THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE**:
**Skills and attributes (preferred)**:

- The role would favour a person who has experience of working in a similar role, or one with a comparable health and safety focus, and holds a first aid qualification.
