Flintshire and Wrexham (East) CAMHS are keen to recruit an Assistant Practitioner to support our interventions to young people and families with eating disorders. This is a full-time, permanent post.

East CAMHS offers a 0-18 service to children, young people and families. We provide an extensive offer to our local community including significant early intervention and prevention services, unscheduled care, an Early Years 0-7 service and a broad range of NICE recommended and other evidence based interventions.

Clinicians involved in eating disorder work across East CAMHS are a dynamic and committed multidisciplinary team of Clinical Psychology, Psychiatry, Family Therapy, CAMHS Practitioners with a range of core professional backgrounds, Dietetics and Assistant Psychology.

This role will be across East CAMHS and will support clinicians who are working with young people and families with anorexia nervosa and other eating disorders and disordered eating.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

A key purpose of this role is to assist in the provision of a therapeutic service to young people and families open to East CAMHS for an eating disorder. This role will involve home visits.

The Assistant Practitioner will implement programmes of care to provide coaching to families and to support young people with eating disorders. This post involves being part of the East Eating Disorder multidisciplinary team and attending regular meetings to discuss clinical work, alongside regular supervision. There will be involvement in service audit and development and evaluating outcomes.
