**About us**

M&J Group are a Construction company, established in 1972, M&J Group are now one of the largest specialist construction companies in the UK. Having developed our extensive knowledge of the flat and pitched roofing. M&J are looking to recruit a Procurement Assistant to join the Procurement department at their head office in Bedford.

**Daily Duties**:
Supporting the Procurement Manager with daily activities

Perform general administration tasks as and when required to meet the needs of the department, such as printing documents, answering incoming phone calls, and assisting in maintenance of a supplier data base

Subcontractor data management & compliance

Maintain team files and key procurement documentation

Placing orders with suppliers via the company purchasing system

There will be liaison with other members of the wider team, and on occasion assisting other departments with administrative activities

**Experience**:
A background in a previous administrative role would be desirable but if you are interested in starting a career in administration then we would be interested in hearing from you too

Have an interest in starting a career in Purchasing/Procurement

Demonstrates an eye for detail and ability to input multiple data effectively

Needs to be proficient in MS Office particularly Excel

The ability to communicate effectively in person as well as over the telephone

Proactive attitude, strong organisation skills with the ability to multi-task

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £20,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
