**About the role**
The Feedback and Information Governance team covering Together for Families and Care and Wellbeing has some fantastic opportunities for Complaints and Freedom of Information Officers wanting to make a difference. Cornwall Council strives to provide a high standard of service to our customers, who are at the centre of what we do.
As a Complaints and Freedom of Information Officer, you will be responsible for reviewing and responding to feedback, complaints and compliments regarding the services we deliver. The role involves coordinating a caseload whilst supporting our residents and colleagues across the services to reach the best outcome that resolves the complaint.
As part of the wider service, the Complaints and FOI officer will help embed a culture of best practice in relation to complaints and FOIs.
Whilst the location/work-base for this role may have been specified our evolving ways of working means that the role may require you to also work remotely (e.g., from home/other locations). We will discuss this with you during the recruitment process.
We are happy to talk about flexible working options such as part-time or compressed hours. More examples of our flexible working opportunities can be found here - flexible working options.
**About you**
This will be a hybrid role, with office attendance expected as and when required, particularly during the induction training period.
**About us**
Fairness and inclusion are at the heart of our vision for Cornwall. In order to best serve our communities, we are striving to achieve a diverse workforce that is inclusive of all backgrounds, cultures and identities; e.g., race, disability, sex, gender, age, religion and sexual orientation. We are an equal opportunities and Disability Confident employer, and we will assess applicants on their merits.
Cornwall Council is committed to safeguarding and following safer recruitment principles to help make sure our staff and volunteers are suitable to work with children, young people and adults at risk. It’s a vital part of creating a safe and positive environment and making a commitment to keeping all service users safe from harm.
