As a Security Assistant you will be responsible for daily security checks and ensure procedures are maintained around the medium, low and PICU wards, where you will support staff, service users and visitors at all times. Working 37.5 hours across 3 daysa week, which includes days and nights, you will be responsible for ensuring that the integrity of the hospital security procedures are upheld, whilst maintaining a welcoming approach for the hospital. You will directly report to the Security Manager and playa significant role within support services You will promote and educate the service on the importance of security by providing specialist advice and support, which will see you help create a positive culture; set standards and challenge unacceptable behaviour.A range of training opportunities are available that can see your career grow and you achieve your career aspirations. Your responsibilities will include: Maintains required security standards of the hospital by following relevant policy's and procedures asdefined by the Hospital. To be an active member of the team with a collective responsibility for the day to day operation taking forward the Security Managers strategy. To maintain excellent telephone communication skills and ability to meet and greeting visitorsin a professional manner. Establish and maintain good working relationships with all staff, visitors and service users. Monitoring own personal and professional development and seeking a regular appraisal and review of performance and progress. To help createa positive culture; set standards and challenge unacceptable behaviour. Remain calm during stressful situations Undertaking any other tasks requested that are appropriate for the post. Training and Development.
