**The Role**

We are currently looking for a RAMS Writer to join our friendly team at our Nottingham based offices. The role holder will provide quality RAMS in preparation for operatives attending site and undertaking work. The post holder will have an excellent understanding of all working at height procedures with up to date technical knowledge that ensures all procedures are compliant with Company Health and Safety rules.

The successful applicant will be undertaking ad hoc site audits in order to ensure operatives are working in accordance with the issued RAMS and all company policies. Will also be responsible for the delivery and recording of tool box talks on an ad hoc basis.

**Main duties included**:

- Creation and submission of RAMS in a timely manner as agreed with the Contracts Manager and Operations Director
- Ensure that all procedures and technical data is up to date in line with the company Health and Safety procedures
- Regularly review a selection of returned job packs from site

**Essential Criteria**
- Experience in writing method statements & risk assessments
- Experience in undertaking site audits
- Experience of working within the construction industry
- Qualified to GCSE level (or equivalent) including Maths and English Language
- IOSH qualified or equivalent
- Driving Licence
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Good IT skills
- Ability to plan and organise own workload in order to consistently meet deadlines, often under pressure
- Disciplined and methodical

**Desirable**
- Chartered Member of IOSH
- NEBOSH qualification or equivalent
- Hold a current CSCS steeplejack or lightning protection card
- Knowledge of industrial chimneys, lightning protection, fall arrest
- Experience of working within the steeplejack industry
