**About this opportunity**

Cumberland Council is seeking a proactive and organised **Business Support Administrator** to join our People Directorate, supporting Children’s Residential Homes. This vital role involves providing confidential and effective support to managers and staff, helping to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery. You’ll be responsible for a range of tasks including minute taking, spreadsheet management, handling petty cash, and maintaining accurate records.

We’re looking for someone with experience in office administration and customer service, confident using MS Office and databases, and comfortable working in emotionally sensitive environments. You’ll need to be ICT literate, able to prioritise your own workload, and ready to support both routine and emergency situations. A DBS Enhanced Check (Children) is required. In return, you’ll be part of a supportive team culture with opportunities for training and development, all while making a meaningful impact on the lives of children and families in Cumbria.

This role is available on a permanent basis.
