EMIS Receptionist

My client are seeking an EMIS trained Doctors Receptionist who is either EMIS trained or has the smart card to join them on an ongoing basis.

**Main duties of the job**
- Ensure an effective and efficient reception service is provided to patients any other visitors to the practice
- Have a high degree of empathy, diplomacy and integrity and be able to demonstrate sensitivity and an awareness of patients needs
- Be reliable, professional and adaptable to excel in an ever-changing environment
- Deal with all general enquiries, explain procedures and make new and follow-up appointments
- Handing completed repeat prescriptions to patient and checking names and address.
- Process appointment requests from patients by telephone and in person.
- Receive and make telephone calls as required. Divert calls and take messages, ensuring accuracy of detail and prompt appropriate delivery

**Hours of work**:
Core practice hours are 08:00 - 18:30 Monday to Friday. (E.g. 8:00am - 4:30pm / 10:00am - 6:30pm)

However you should be able to cover their evening shift when required, this could be from 18:30 - 20:00 - shifts will be provided in advance.

**Salary**: £11.50-£12.50 per hour
