**Warehouse Operative / Van Driver**

**Reporting to: Office Manager, Transport Manager & Company Directors**

In our growing business, plans may change, so you will be required to carry out warehouse duties as well as making deliveries in what can often be a fast-paced environment.

**Core Duties**
- Carry out deliveries of oil drums and small pack items to customer sites, utilising our fleet of vans and drop-side vehicles, equipped with tail lift
- Loading delivery vehicles in a safe and efficient manner, utilising pallets, ratchet straps and shrink wrap
- Off-loading goods inward vehicles and putting barrels, boxes and pails away in the relevant locations within the yard & warehouse
- Ensuring all necessary paperwork is given to the office staff
- General warehouse duties include putting stock away and picking stock, and being responsible for overall yard tidiness

**Additional Duties**
- Ensure vehicles are kept clean and tidy, and report any defects to the Transport Manager
- Ensure the warehouse is kept safe and tidy, again reporting any issues or defects to the Warehouse Supervisor
- Assisting with other duties as required by your line managers

**Requirements**:

- Full clean UK driving licence (essential)
- Previous experience operating a forklift (desirable)
- Previous experience either doing delivery driving or working in a warehouse
- Knowledge of the Midlands region (desirable)

**Remuneration**
- £27,000 per annum
- Statutory Pension Scheme
- Hours of work will be Monday to Friday, typically 08:00 - 17:00 although earlier start and finish times may be required
- 45 minute lunch break
- 21 days annual leave, rising by 1 day each year served up to a maximum of 25, plus statutory bank holidays
