We work with top construction companies and are currently looking for willing **Trainee/Apprentice Site Supervisors in the Bath & NE Somerset area.**

Successful applicants will start working towards a **Level 4 Construction Site Supervisor Apprenticeship Standard**. This Apprenticeship Standard includes a Level 4 qualification in “Construction & the Built Environment” and **applicants must hold a Level 3 qualification and have GCSE Grades 4 and above in Maths, English and Science.**

Working with the main and the sub-contractors on site and supporting the management team you will learn all aspects of running a safe and productive construction site. You will assist the senior managers with managing health and safety on site, supervising construction workers, measuring and recording progress & monitoring quality. In the first year of your studies, you will gain a solid base in health, safety and welfare, sustainability in construction and construction technology and during the second year you will focus on the specialist knowledge required to become a site manager: - project management, planning and organising work, and monitoring quality and costs.

Being employed by Shared Apprenticeships means you are guaranteed the opportunity to complete your apprenticeship with one or more of our host contactors. You will receive the national minimum wage for your age (which is higher than the national apprenticeship wage) and can claim up to £25 per week towards your travel costs. Plus, you will have a dedicated mentor to help and guide you through your apprenticeship.

**Duties may include, but are not limited to -**
- Assisting the project management team in the running of a construction site
- Conducting site inspections with the site manager
- Working with estimators and surveyors
- Attending meetings with the project manager, site manager and other external parties

**People Specification**
- Grades 4 - 9/A-C in English, Maths and Science
- Organised
- Motivated
- Positive
- Enthusiastic approach to work and college
- Ability to communicate to a variety of people
- Able to work as part of a team as well as use own initiative
- Punctual
- Very keen interest in the construction industry, previous experience useful but not required
- A CSCS card is required - this will be managed by Shared Apprenticeships; the individual will need to pass this prior to starting their role if not already held
- Own transport an advantage but not a requirement
