Lead Mechanical Fitter

Are you an experienced Mechanical Fitter with a passion for quality, safety, and teamwork? We're looking for a skilled professional to lead the installation, testing and inspection of mechanical systems on construction sites.
This is a hands-on role where your expertise will directly contribute to the safe and successful delivery of complex mechanical and electrical (M&E) projects.
What you'll do

You'll be working in varied and challenging site environments that offer real career growth, including opportunities to progress into supervision or site management roles.
You'll also:
- lead the mechanical installation of M&E systems, including large and small-bore pipework (ductile, stainless, carbon steel and plastic)
- carry out isolations and pressure testing independently, in line with E&M safety rules
- complete relevant certification and quality and assurance documentation
- support fault finding and commissioning activities
- maintain high standards of site safety, housekeeping, and waste management
- mentor junior fitters and apprentices, promoting best practices and continuous improvement
- coordinate with site supervisors and managers to ensure smooth progress of installations.
What you'll need
- Experience in M&E installation within the water industry.
- Understanding of DSEAR applications and CompEx 11 certification.
- Proven competence in installing both large and small-bore pipework.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings with minimal supervision.
- Authorisation to carry out isolations and pressure testing.
- Knowledge of WIMES, CDM 2015, and Construction Industry Safety Regulations.
- Strong communication and coordination skills, especially in multi-disciplinary environments.
