This is a great opportunity to join Manchester Heart Centre team.

The post holder will provide comprehensive and flexible support to the Cardiovascular MDT service in consultation with the MDT Coordinator. This will include preparing agendas for meetings, ensuring all results and correspondence are available in time for meetings, attending meetings, recording outcomes accurately and ensuring the outcomes are communicated to staff across the department.

The post holder will provide comprehensive and flexible support to the Clinical Service Unit RTT position in consultation with the RTT Manager.

The post holder will support the CSU in achieving the Trust RTT targets including validation.

The MDT/RTT Administrative Support Assistant will also be required to liaise with a wide range of admin and clinical staff across the Heart Centre including clinical staff at Director level, therefore, the post holder must be a confident communicator and have experience working with senior level staff.

To communicate regularly by telephone and in person with patients and their families, general public, doctors and administrative staff, as well as other relevant NHS Trusts. To take and relay messages as appropriate.

To attend relevant meetings in consultation with line manager.

To use tact and diplomacy, for example when giving information on waiting times or dealing with complaints.

To share information with others, observing data protection guidelines.

To carry out duties professionally and with discretion, protecting people’s right to confidentiality at all times.

To develop their verbal and written communication skills to be able to assist and interact successfully with people with learning disabilities.
