We are looking for an enthusiastic and conscientious person to join the North West Genomic Laboratory Hub (NWGLH) laboratory administrative team as an MDT coordinator at St. Mary's Hospital, Manchester.
The successful applicant will need to be self-motivated, hard working and capable of working within a team, together with the ability to work on your own initiative. You will also have good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise your workload. Good communication and administrative skills are essential, together with the commitment to demonstrate the Trust’s Values and Behaviours framework.
The post holder will be responsible for the co-ordination of Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) meetings and will attend these meetings, obtaining and recording relevant information and typing patient outcomes during the meeting. A key component to the job will be providing a single point of contact for clinicians referring into the MDT for these services and providing effective communication of MDT outcomes back to the referring clinician and any other interested parties.
The post-holder will provide a comprehensive administrative and secretarial service to the North West GLH (NW GLH) with a particular focus on organisation and support preparing for, record keeping during and recording of outcomes, following multi-disciplinary team (MDT) meetings
and molecular tumour boards (MTBs) attended by Scientific members of staff in the NW GLHThe post holder will be responsible for their workload and will be able to work without direct supervision and be an integral member of the Admin Team within the North West Genomic Laboratory Hub

Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills as they will need to liaise with staff at all levels associated with multi-disciplinary team working. Work well as part of a larger team as well as have the ability to work autonomously, be able to multi-task and be flexible in their approach.
Facilitate the MDT and MTBs meetings attended by NW GLH staff
ensuring that patient data, laboratory reports, and all completed documents required in advance of the meeting are available.
Demonstrate attention to detail; exceptional organisational skills and be able to manage changing priorities as they arise, in a calm and professional manner to ensure the smooth running and efficient service.
