FIE: Foundation for International Education is an international educational organisation working in partnership with universities and colleges in the US to provide immersive study abroad programs for undergraduate students in London, Dublin, and Amman.

FIE is seeking a qualified, resourceful and confident **Experiential Education (Internship) Manager** to manage the members of the Experiential Education Team in planning, organising and overseeing internship and service internship placementsfor students, primarily in the Greater London area. This includes researching and identifying work experience opportunities, networking in a varied range of job sectors, managing and shaping student expectations and maintaining relationships with placementsupervisors and home campus coordinators.

**Duties**:

- To oversee and coordinate the day-to-day administrative tasks and placement process of FIE’s Internship provision.
- To line manage and appraise members of the Experiential Education Team and set performance targets/ deadlines within the Internship Team, ensuring they are met. You will also manage the recruitment and training process for new staff.
- To research and identify work experience opportunities for students across a range of job sectors.
- To maintain and strengthen relationships with external stakeholders, site supervisors, visiting faculty and home campus coordinators.
- To liaise with employers and site supervisors before, during and after student placements and monitor student performance.
- To liaise with and advise university partners and potential partners, actively engaging in programme development.
- To review and consider feedback from placements and students and use this information to improve service delivery.
- Keep up-to-date with trends in the field through research and attendance at industry meetings.
- React in a timely and appropriate fashion to student issues and crises in conjunction with other team members.

**About You**:

- Qualifications/Experience:_
- An undergraduate degree or equivalent experience (postgraduate degree desired).
- An understanding of the international education sector.
- Previous experience in a supervisory role.
- Experience with US or UK higher education environments (desirable).
- Experience working with internship or work experience placements, in career services or advising/counselling students (desirable).
- Key Skills:_
- Ability to lead and motivate staff in a demanding work environment.
- Excellent organisational and administration skills with a high attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritise a multifaceted workload.
- Ability to handle complex and challenging situations.
- Excellent communication skills; able to engage effectively with various groups of people.
- A strong command of written and spoken English.
- Excellent IT skills with knowledge of MS Office and databases.
