**_Job Purpose for a Work Placement Coordinator_**

- We are excited to offer this full-time position as a Work Placement Coordinator on the new London Traineeship Contract.
- We are seeking to recruit a high caliber, dynamic individual with significant experience in job brokerage, recruitment, and partnership development to support learners to secure Work Placements.
- The role will not only include sourcing quality employers to assist in placing learners in a Work Placement, but also provide support while the learner is in the work placement to ensure they are successful in completing this element of the course.
- As a Work Placement Co-Ordinator, you will be required to possess a well-developed understanding of how best to secure job vacancies, work placement opportunities from employers, and to increase the rate of employment and skill levels for learners.
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn and motivate others to develop/grow industry[1]specific knowledge and skills.
- Provide a sense of authority to the customers and enable them to feel more confident & strengthened.
**_Key Responsibilities for a Work Placement Coordinator_**

- Focus on securing employment and skills development opportunities for learners by engaging directly with employers.
- Willing to learn the Traineeship contract and understand the work placement element is a critical part of the learner's journey.
- Conduct Business development to source work placement in key relevant sectors that will provide meaningful Work Placements.
- Understand the Quality and Compliance elements of Work placements such as safeguarding of learners, good work standards, and wellbeing.
- Engage with learners, to ensure that the preparation, delivery, and evaluation of work placements are meaningful, relevant, and sustained to a high quality.
- Track in work progression of the learner and support through other key elements of learner journey to ensure Traineeship Programme is completed.
- Diligently update the systems and achieve the targets.
- Health and safety, risk assessment checks completed.
- Create awareness amongst the employers about our company's vision of equal opportunities and values.
- Provide customers with quality constructive feedback that allows them to improve and prepare for the dynamic work environment.
- Provide support to the stakeholders to enable them to sustain employment through good practice and overcome any foreseen barriers.

- Ability to carry out the duties of the job with reasonable adjustments when necessary.
- Ability to seek out solutions to problems.
- Strong time management, planning, and organisational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Have strong attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of initiative and motivation

- At least two years of experience in a similar working environment and a track record of securing work experience placements.
- Experience in working with young people.
- Willing to go the extra mile in your role and take on challenges head-on.
- Have a holistic understanding of the sector or are willing to learn.
- Are educated to at least A-level or equivalent.
- Proven track record and demonstrate a strong understanding of employer recruitment.
- Must be resourceful & innovative with a positive outlook.
- Target-driven and confident to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player and supportive of colleagues.
- Willingness to travel in/around London.
