**Transport Planner General Responsibilities**:

- Uphold company values and demonstrate professionalism in all interactions.
- Promote and adhere to health and safety standards in compliance with policies and legislation.
- Maintain punctuality and ensure proper use of company-provided uniform and PPE.
- Adhere to client-specific rules and expectations when working on their premises.
- Meet and exceed individual and team performance metrics (KPIs).

**Transport Planner Role-Specific Responsibilities**:

- Develop and execute transport plans that align with company objectives and meet customer expectations.
- Coordinate with third-party logistics teams to manage large-load and multi-route shipments.
- Optimise transport schedules, routes, and resource allocation for maximum efficiency.
- Manage pre-bookings and provide accurate ETA updates to clients and stakeholders.
- Address inquiries and resolve transport-related issues promptly and professionally.
- Oversee transport compliance processes, including accident reporting and non-conformance management.
- Prepare detailed performance reports and maintain accurate documentation using standard office software.
- Analyse transport performance metrics using spreadsheets to identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with supply chain teams to streamline operations and improve logistics performance.

**Transport Planner Skills and Attributes**:

- Demonstrates accuracy in planning and reporting.
- Maintains high standards in all aspects of transport management.
- Takes initiative and works independently when required.
- Collaborates effectively with colleagues across departments.
- Comfortable using IT systems, including transport management tools.
- Builds strong relationships and prioritises customer needs.
- Familiarity with UK and EU geography to optimise route planning.
- Knowledge of driver hours regulations and vehicle maintenance planning.
- Skilled in negotiating and managing costs for vehicle profitability.
