**Job Title**:Finance Administrator

**Salary**:Up to £24,000 DOE

**Location**:Newcastle/hybrid working, with 2 days a month in the Newcastle office

**Contract**:12 Month Fixed Term Contract

**This is the job**:
As a Finance Administrator you will be providing a service to our internal customers, suppliers and employees following set processes and procedures in support of Insurance Finance, maintaining financial control of our policy administration system.

To be successful in the role you will need to have had previous financial experience and be a strong excel user. If you are currently studying AAT we would love to hear from you

**What will I be doing?**:

- Process transactions within the accounting and policy systems
- Maintain financial records and process all documentation accurately
- Ensure the efficient and accurate reconciliation, control and distribution of card, cheque and BACS payments to/from customers
- Complete month end routines, to produce financial reconciliation of the various control and bank accounts as necessary, whilst producing balance sheet reconciliations as appropriate.
- Receive, investigate and promptly resolve customer, supplier and employee queries providing advice and guidance as requested.
- Create and maintain excel spreadsheets and formulas, documenting the process and ensuring data integrity.

**What do I need?**:
**Capability, Knowledge and Experience**:

- Financial experience
- Experience using Excel
- Data gathering, system interrogation and analysis skills
- SAP experience and skills (Desirable)
- Knowledge of finance/accounting policies and processes (Desirable)

**Education and Qualifications**:

- Educated to GCSE for entry level
- Studying for AAT (desirable)

**Personal Characteristics**:

- Strong attention to detail
- Accurate, thorough and reliable
- Able to meet tight deadlines and deal with the prioritisation of conflicting requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
