**The Role**

This role is based at Osman House, a 16-bed unit in Scholes, Leeds which provides rehabilitation to people with an acquired brain injury. It is a unique community where the people we support can address their cognitive, behavioural, physical, and emotional difficulties.

As a Team Leader your main purpose will be to contribute and have responsibility for providing quality social and vocational support services for the people we support. You will lead, supervise and develop a team of support workers to ensure the needs of those we support are met according to their individual support plan in line with company policy and procedures and regulatory standards.

It is a really varied job, with all kinds of different activities to organise and participate in - both at Osman House and in the local Scholes community: art, crafts, music, sports, gardening, shopping, swimming, and countless others.

**Main duties will include**:

- Establish and maintain professional relationships with stakeholders in order to compliment and contribute to the positive reputation of the company.
- To provide line management to a designated team of staff within a specified group at a location or group of locations within the allocated division.
- To undertake any reasonable traveling requirements in order to fulfil the tasks and responsibilities of the role. This may include supporting other locations within the Division as required.
- To set and communicate high standards of care and professional conduct within the team supervised.
- To lead and support compliance with The Disabilities Trust quality audits.
- To lead and support in health and safety duties as appropriate
- To contribute information for the accurate notification of incidents/accidents/safeguarding as appropriate.
- Represent the Disabilities Trust at meetings and seminars and any other external events, where appropriate.

**Requirement**
- NVQ / QCF Level 3 in Heath & Social Care or willingness to work towards within 12 months

**Skills/Experience required**:

- Previous experience of working within a care/support environment
- Knowledge of current relevant legislation relating to care standards, health and safety and food hygiene
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
- Demonstrate ability to be flexible and adaptable in approach, being able to prioritise, plan and organise the work load
- Demonstrating a customer focused approach and a professional attitude
- Excellent communication skills to communicate effectively on all levels
- Literacy skills to meet the requirements of defensible documentation
- Numeracy skills to meet financial management responsibilities
- Ability to use your own initiative and make informed decisions.
- Good time keeping, time management attendance skills
