Etheridge Windows Ltd has been a prominent player in the window industry for around 10 years, supplying top-quality windows, doors, and conservatories across the North East. Our in-house team handles both fitting and office tasks, guaranteeing that all jobs are meticulously managed and signed off by a Manager before final payment.
This is a full-time on-site role for a Finance Administrative Officer based in Stanley, Co. Durham. You will be responsible for the day to day running of the accounts office. There is a high degree of data input and analysis using our in-house accounting system so your experience in numeracy and literacy skills need to be well honed.
There is a requirement for spreadsheet creation/input and analysis work so you must have previous experience of Excel in spreadsheet creation and maintenance.
We are looking for someone with a ‘can do’ attitude who can multi-task and work both independently and as part of the team.
**Qualifications**:
- Proficiency in preparing financial statements and managing financial reporting
- Strong analytical skills in finance
- Experience with accounting software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting
- Relevant experience or qualifications in finance or accounting
- Record, reconciliation and banking transactions
- Recording, reconciliation, tracking (against projects) and banking
- Check, process and record all payments, administer invoices and expenses claims received, and action payments.
- Reconcile transactions on a computer and bank statements and ensure that all accounts balance.
- Liaise with and review budgets and expenditure as necessary with the director and prepare weekly/monthly reports and other data as required.
- Maintain proper records for all the above on computer payroll and finance package (FreeAgent) and filing of all relevant paperwork.
- Assist in the running/logging of DBS checks, booking of staff training and PPE distribution to workforce
- Undertake general admin tasks e.g. dealing with items of correspondence, telephone messages & enquiries and filing
The above range of duties and responsibilities is not exhaustive: post holders will be expected to perform work of a similar level and responsibility when requested to do so.
Experience
You are required to have experience of:
- Accounting/book-keeping (experience with computerised accountancy systems).
- Administration
- Data recording and monitoring - experience with electronic data recording systems.
Knowledge, skills and abilities
It is essential that the post holder has the following:
- Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in working with Microsoft packages, including Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Accuracy in reporting detailed financial information.
- Ability to work as part of a team, as well as on own initiative.
- Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and professionals alike.
- Confidence in liaising with external organisations.
- Ability to work under pressure, plan and prioritise own workload, manage competing tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to maintain effective office systems.

Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
