Job Description: We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable Driver to work at various farmers markets in London on Saturdays and Sundays. As a Farmers Market Driver, you will be responsible for transporting fruits and vegetables from Walthamstow to different locations across London. The role involves heavy lifting, good knowledge of fruits and vegetables, and requires a friendly demeanor. The working hours are from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm.

**Responsibilities**:

- Safely transport fruits and vegetables from Walthamstow to various farmers markets in London.
- Ensure timely and efficient delivery of produce to each market location.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, ensuring it is stocked with necessary supplies.
- Assist with loading and unloading pallets of produce by hand at the market you are trading at.
- Collaborate with a market colleague who will assist you during the trading hours.
- Maintain market stalls and displays, ensuring they are clean, presentable, and stocked throughout the trading hours.
- Handle customer inquiries and provide friendly customer service at the market.
- Accept card payments using a smartphone and SumUp card payment system.
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines, including proper handling and storage of produce.
- Ensure compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with market managers and colleagues to coordinate operations smoothly.

**Requirements**:

- Possess a valid UK driving license, clean license preferred.
- Previous experience in the fruit and vegetable industry is highly desirable.
- Physically fit and able to handle heavy lifting and long periods of standing.
- Comfortable working in various weather conditions, as markets operate unless deemed unsafe by the market manager.
- Excellent knowledge of fruits and vegetables, including identification and quality assessment.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a market colleague.
- Punctuality and reliability are essential.
- Own a smartphone for card payment transactions.
- Able to work Saturdays and Sundays, from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm.
- Long wheelbase van driving experience is a plus.

Compensation: The position offers a daily wage of approximately £140-£150. Payments are made on a daily basis.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: £145.00-£150.00 per day

Expected hours: 15 - 25 per week
