**About the Role**

As a Senior Commissioning Manager in Adult Social Care Strategy, Partnerships and Transformation, the role delivers a high level strategic focus on the whole life of the commissioning cycle, driving the development of services, contracts, analysis and delivery to respond to the ASC strategy. It champions strategic commissioning and service improvement programmes and oversees assurance and policy development and service evaluation, driving value for money and innovation in commissioning.

This role aligns with the Market Management Team to drive effective delivery of strategic relationship and reputation management, commissioning strategy and market development.

Key activities of this role include:

- Support the Head of Service to develop the ASC approach to commissioning and transformation
- Maintain the commissioning roadmap and ensure alignment to the corporate goals
- Responsible for managing the interface between commissioning strategy objectives and market response to need
- Act as a strategic leader across the portfolio, driving the development of services, contracts, analysis and delivery to respond to the ASC strategy
- Develop effective working relationships with the Market Management team to drive delivery of commissioning strategy and market development

- Knowledge and understanding of key aspects of the Commissioning Cycle
- Expert knowledge of effective service development, redesign and improvement methodologies
- Expert knowledge of commissioning, client groups and care markets
- Demonstrate excellence in partnership working with a wide range of stakeholders, multi-disciplinary teams, agencies and providers
- Understanding and awareness of key legislation for Public Sector social care, including health, housing and social care
