Our client, a well-respected charity dedicated to supporting victims of Domestic Abuse are looking for an Independent Domestic Violence Advocate to join their team.

**Synopsis of duties**:

- Providing practical and emotional support to women experiencing Domestic Abuse
- Conducting CAADA DASH RIC assessments, risk and needs assessments
- Carrying a caseload of service users, devising safety and support plans
- Assisting women to access counselling, legal advice and helping service users to access other services.
- Working to empower women to help them move on from abuse and to have a safe future
- Advocating on behalf of the victims, providing support with complex needs and signposting when appropriate for further support
- Multiagency working, including MARAC
- Acting in accordance with safeguarding procedures

**Essential Requirements**:

- Must have a strong understanding on how Domestic Abuse affects women and children
- An understanding of the Jewish community in Britain
- Experience working as a Domestic Violence Professional
- A fully enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months or on the update service

Supporting Futures Consulting acts as both an employer and an agency.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary contract

**Salary**: £16.00-£18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

**Experience**:

- supporting victims of Domestic Abuse: 2 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Enhanced DBS (required)
