Trainee Financial Services Administrator

We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a **Trainee Financial Services Administrator** to join our team. This is an entry-level role. You will receive training and support as you learn the ins and outs of the role, including managing new business submissions, assisting with portfolio reports, liaising with both clients and providers, and handling ongoing new business cases. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in financial services.
**Key Responsibilities**
**New Business Submissions**
- Assist senior team members in preparing paperwork for new clients
- Begin to track the progress of submitted business, following up with providers under the guidance to ensure everything is processed smoothly.
**Portfolio Report Production**
- Learning how to extract data and generate reports for clients which summarise the performance of their investments, pensions, and other financial products,.
- Maintain accurate records of client portfolio details, ensuring information is kept up to date.
- Support the team in producing basic ad-hoc reports as needed by advisers or clients.
**Client Liaison**
- Learn how to effectively communicate with clients, providing them with updates on their financial matters and answering any queries under supervision.
- Assist in scheduling meetings, when required and maintaining strong communication with clients regarding their ongoing cases.
- As you gain confidence and knowledge, begin to take on more responsibility for managing client enquiries, ensuring clients receive excellent service.
**Provider Liaison**
- Assist in maintaining relationships with financial product providers, ensuring that any necessary information is relayed promptly and professionally.
- Learn how to manage tasks such as fund switches, policy amendments, withdrawals and premium adjustments by working closely with senior colleagues.
- Ensure that any issues or discrepancies with providers are identified and flagged for resolution.
**Ongoing Case Management**
- Help with managing ongoing new business cases, ensuring all paperwork and documentation is processed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Track case progress and report back to senior team members on the status of various tasks.
- Assist advisers by taking care of basic administrative tasks related to new business cases, providing updates and ensuring timely completion of tasks.
**General Administrative Support**
- Maintain accurate client files and records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.

- **Technology Proficiency**: Basic computer literacy (e.g., MS Word, Excel, Outlook) is essential, with a willingness to learn new systems and software used in the financial services industry.
**Qualifications**
- **Experience**: No previous experience in financial services is required, but any administrative or customer service experience would be an advantage.
- **Qualifications**: A minimum of GCSEs C or above (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics is required.
- **Training**: Full training will be provided, and there is an opportunity for you to work towards industry-specific qualifications such as the **Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning**.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with little or no prior knowledge of financial services but a keen interest in the industry.
