Job Title: Financial Assistant
Job Overview:
This part-time role from 16-20 hrs per week. First 6 months working hours are 10am-2pm Monday to Thursday, after 6 months can be increased to 20hrs per week Monday to Friday.
In the future this role can be a full time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation and monitoring of budgets.
- Process invoices, payments, and receipts accurately and timely.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers.
- Prepare timesheets for payroll team and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Support the finance team in month-end and year-end close processes.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Handle sensitive information with confidentiality and integrity.
- Perform other administrative and financial tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- A levels and qualifications in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Financial Assistant or similar role.
- Strong understanding of financial principles and accounting practices.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel; experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) is a plus.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in financial sector.
- Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CFA) are advantageous but not required.
