**Hours (Full Time)**

37.5 hours per week, based on Monday to Friday 9am - 5.30pm. Some evening and weekend work may be required.

**Rate of Pay**

£27,885 - £30,751.50 per annum (£14.30 -15.77 per hour). Pay starts at the bottom of the scale.

Paid monthly in arrears on the last working day of the month, direct into bank account.

**Holidays**

28 days including bank holidays, rising by 1 day for each completed year of service to a maximum of 38 days after 10 completed years of service.

**Probationary period**

6 months, with interim review after 3 months.

**Duration of post**

**AIMS OF THE POST**:

- To support the Residential Manager in ensuring the smooth running of the refuge.
- To meet with Residential Manager regularly to discuss work plan.
- To attend regular supervision with Residential Manager.
- To work in collaboration with partner Senior Refuge Support Worker.
- To provide 6-weekly supervision to the Resettlement Workers and Refuge Support Workers you are responsible for.
- To facilitate daily handover meetings delegating tasks to team members, including volunteers, as required at the refuge.
- To give direction, training and support to the Refuge Support Workers based at the refuge and Resettlement Workers.
- To complete weekly statistical returns to external agencies as required.
- To support the Residential Manager in completing quarterly statistical returns to funders and other reports as required.
- To ensure daily, weekly and monthly health and safety inspections are completed including weekly fire drills completing any actions as required.
- To attend to health and safety matters immediately.
- To ensure all refuge building maintenance is completed immediately as required.
- To oversee the Resettlement Project.
- To maintain data storage and monitoring systems and support the Residential Manager in report preparation.
- To work with Residential Manager in ensuring comprehensive staffing levels (Refuge & Helpline) are maintained.
- To support service users in adhering to refuge house rules and dealing with the breaches of those rules under the direction of the Residential Manager.
- To facilitate mediation, if agreed, between residents in conflict.

Working within the team, to be responsible for:

- Offering emotional and practical support to all residents either in person or through your staff team.
- Answering the Domestic Abuse Helpline, offering information, advice and signposting support to people impacted by Domestic Abuse.
- Carrying out administrative, monitoring and reporting tasks as necessary.
- Working to and participating in evaluation and review of the organisation’s policies and practices.
- Reporting statistical data regarding individuals and families supported in refuge and via the helpline.
- Ensuring the wellbeing and safety of all residents and callers to the helpline.
- Support with the day today running of the refuge project, including the premises.
- Providing training & opportunities for refuge volunteers.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

**1. **Taking initial requests and referrals from potential clients and ensuring suitability for services offered in line with CRT policies and procedures.

**1.1. **Provide information and support to all residents.

**1.2. **Arrange safe accommodation, in refuge or elsewhere, including referring on to statutory and other voluntary agencies.

**1.3. **Admit new residents, settling in, ensuring room is clean and equipped, and completing paperwork and statistics working with the Residential Manager.

**1.4. **Attend to helpline calls as required.

**1.5. **Make initial assessment of needs, supporting emotional needs; ensure access to other CRT services, especially children’s and counselling services.

**1.6. **Follow up and regularly review and record support needs.

**1.7. **Work with other relevant agencies as appropriate, offering information and support with legal issues, child & adult safeguarding issues, health, housing, benefits entitlements, schools and playgroups, adult education, child contact with absent parent, etc.

**1.8. **Complete and submit MARAC referrals as require, providing representation at MARAC meetings for high risk service users

**1.9. **Ensure that house rules on safety, confidentiality and comfort are maintained.

**1.10. **Ensure residents weekly charges records are updated weekly.

**1.11. **Ensure weekly charges bills are issued to current residents and charges due collected.

**1.12. **Keep daily records of each resident’s progress and support needs, sharing information with colleagues as required and during daily handovers.

**1.13. **Assist in finding move-on temporary or permanent accommodation.

**1.14. **Facilitating a weekly support group and monthly house meetings.
