Here at the Card Factory we have a fantastic opportunity to join our fun and friendly payroll team, as a Payroll Co-Ordinator you will support the Payroll Team Leaders in ensuring that all payrolls within the Group, consisting of retail (national), manufacturing and distribution, are processed in an accurate and timely manner.

**Main Responsibilities**
- Process the Group payrolls accurately and on time
- Process New Starters, Change of Details forms, Leaver forms and absence records by entering the details into the payroll system (Open People)
- Maintain employee record files and ensure that all employees are set up on the correct contract type, hours, pay and job title
- Ensure data accuracy of employee records on a monthly basis, to maintain, check and update in line with Company standards, contractual information & legislation
- Support the Payroll Team Leaders in ensuring the timely coordination of all payrolls including calculations, reports and month end processes
- Support the Payroll Team Leaders in ensuring that all monthly payrolls are reconciled and appropriate files for Pension Auto-enrolment and RTI are submitted in a timely manner
- Provide support to the Payroll Administrator
- To provide cover (holidays / sickness) on all aspects of the Payroll Administrator’s duties

**Essential**
- Professional qualification (CIPP) or a minimum of 2 years’ recent experience in a payroll processing environment
- Knowledge and experience of a Payroll function and employee lifecycle from New Starter to Leaver
- Experience of using an integrated HR, Payroll & Finance system (such as SAP, itrent, Northgate, Resourcelink or Oracle)
- Excellent attention to detail skills and an ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software / systems
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages, in particular Excel, especially in VLOOKUP’s & Pivot Tables
- Ability to work within a team and to adopt a coaching approach enabling others to enhance their skills both virtually and office based
- Ability to effectively plan, prioritise and manage several tasks simultaneously working proactively and with mínimal supervision
- Able to be calm and resilient under pressure
- Ability to communicate with customers of all backgrounds and at all levels with Professionalism
- Accurately undertaking tasks and responding to requests within Dept. SLA’s;
- Maintaining confidentiality at all times whilst complying with GDPR;
**Preferable**
- Ability to interpret policy using up to date knowledge of Payroll & Pensions legislation, relevant regulations and policy, including recent data protection laws to give clear and helpful advice and solutions to customers
- Ability to suggest new and innovative solutions to improve service delivery and customer experience

**Salary**: £24,097.00 per year
