JOB TITLE: Senior Sales - Waste
LOCATION: Peterborough
SALARY: £40,000 - £45,000 basic (£70,000 OTE uncapped)
The COMPANY
Our client is an innovative and successful plastic recycling company with a history of success throughout Europe. We are proud to be helping them with their ongoing expansion within the UK.
The ROLE
We are now searching for a passionate and ethical Sales Executive to build on their ongoing success.
The successful Sales Trading Manager will be required to do the following:
- Work both internally and externally.
- You will receive waste plastic from the purchasing teams, and you will put together prices for the sales teams.
- You will also Identify customers with a volume of plastic waste who you will visit.
- Quality checking materials in person and assessing commercial viability prior to offering to market.
- Offering client's, the best solution to deal with their scrap plastic waste. The customers get paid for their waste.
- You will maintain an up-to-date pricing and quality matrix for the UK purchasing team, and work with the production team to ensure orders are produced and dispatched on time.
- This is a highly dynamic role, constantly identifying opportunities and bringing them to market
- Communicating with colleagues across the world every day in the deal making process,
- Excellent earning potential
The CANDIDATE
You will need to be an experienced and successful field sales person possessing the following skills and attributes:
- Experience of working in the plastics/Recycling industry is not essential.
- A highly collaborative and entrepreneurial mindset are key to being a top performer.
- You will be highly analytical, balancing the need to convert sales into long, and short-term contracts, whilst maximising margin at all times.
- Skilled at research and time management.
- You will thrive in a fast-moving environment, respond to dynamic market conditions (exchange rates, material prices, and shipping rates) and react quickly to shifting priorities.
- Demonstrable b2b field sales success in both new business and account management.
- It would be advantageous to have experience of selling or procuring commodities.
- Highly organized, motivated and able to independently plan your own time.
