**THE ROLE**
We are currently recruiting for a Operational Risk Manager to work within the Bank’s second line of defence (2LoD) Risk and Compliance team, to provide objective oversight and challenge on the adequacy and effectiveness of BBB’s management of operationalrisk.
The Operational Risk Manager will manage the design and delivery of an effective 2LoD operational risk management oversight and reporting capability covering but not limited to; business and technology resilience, IT/cyber, third-party management, changemanagement and process mapping.
You will provide insightful risk analysis on the performance of operational risk management escalating issues and trends to senior management and appropriate governance committees.
In collaboration with the 2LoD Enterprise Risk Team you will also provide oversight and challenge to the outputs from the 1LoD assessment and management of operational risks and controls through the Bank’s Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) processas well as analyse risk management information to identify risk trends, including emerging risks, through detailed analysis and deep dive reviews, to drive improvements across BBB’s internal control environment.
To be considered for this role you must have experience in an operational risk management role in the public or private sector, preferably in financial services sector along with knowledge and experience in operational risk management principles and practices.
You will have experience preparing and presenting risk management and/or compliance reports and analysis for senior management and have previously worked with other assurance providers such as Internal Audit.
Experience in using risk management and compliance software systems is essential and
experience and/or qualifications in one or more of the following governance related disciplines; risk management, compliance or internal audit would be a distinct advantage.
