Due to an expansion in work; my established heavy engineering client needs an experienced Risk Manager to oversee a variety of Projects during a large capital expenditure. Due to the nature of the works, it is anticipated that this position will be primarilysite based, and will sit inside IR35.

**Responsibilities**
- Liaise with Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors and Planners to understand programme risks and develop and administer appropriate systems to manage and report risk.
- Implement client’s risk management software.
- Co-ordinate preparation and maintenance of project risk registers including risks, opportunities, assumptions, dependencies and exclusions.
- Review and challenge project risk information.
- Liaise with the Planning team to undertake cost and schedule risk analysis.
- Liaise with programme suppliers as required to ensure risk management systems operate effectively across buyer/supplier interfaces.
- Monitor and report monthly risk position line with programme requirements.
- Prepare and present of risk report in line with programme requirements.
- Facilitate risk workshops.
- Publish minutes of risk meetings.
- Support risk input to programme documentation.
- Liaise with the Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors and Planners to understand programme baseline change and develop and administer appropriate systems to manage and report baseline change.
- Develop, brief and implement overarching Risk Management Plans.
- Undertake functional leadership and line management as may be required.
- Subject matter expert in Risk Management.
- Demonstrable experience in successful Risk management on major projects.
- Ability to develop effective systems to manage and report risk.
- Experienced in use of risk management software tools.
- Understanding of change management procedures and ability to develop effective systems to manage and report change.
- Ability to influence within cross-functional teams to add value to programme management procedures.
