Mpeople Recruitment are assisting in the recruitment of a Warehouse Operative/ Driver for a Supply and Distribution company to the construction industry where you will be based at their Chorley Head Office. You will be part of a company that offers supply, distribution, renowned in their industry with a recognised client base, your main function will be to maintain activities within the warehouse, delivery driving across the Northwest along with some trade counter sales. You will be rewarded with, a supportive business, ongoing training and development opportunities, Christmas shutdown. The position is permanent, full-time, 42 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.00 pm to 5.00 am, one Saturday per month 8.00 am to 5.00 pm with a 30 minute lunch break, Salary £23,200 rising to 24,160 after probation

**Warehouse Operative/ Driver Duties**:

- Delivering to sites across the North West using an IVEKO van.
- Off-loading and putting deliveries away, warehouse duties.
- Ensure that the accurate recording of working activity, is maintained, followed, and recorded.
- Unload containers, support the warehouse team and load vehicles.
- Assess goods inwards inspections and raise any progressive actions.
- Loading and unloading.
- Picking, packing and organisation of stock for orders across the warehouse.
- Using scanners and other equipment to manage inventory and to replenish stock. throughout the shift for outgoing orders for the next day.
- Remove any damaged stock and document it, identify quality issues arising from inspections. and ensure they are raised and escalated to the Warehouse Manager.
- Adhere to company Health and Safety Standards as set out company procedures.
- Keep a clean and tidy working area and keep the pick isles clean and tidy.
- Report all issues as per company protocol.
- Other ad hoc duties as required by the business.
- Assisting and serving on the trade counter and taking credit card payments.
- Dealing with phone enquiries/ order.

**Warehouse Operative/ Driver Requirements**:

- Must have Current UK Driving Licence.
- Previous experience within a similar role in building products would be advantageous however, training will be given.
- Familiarisation working with forklift trucks but not essential, understanding of manual handling and stock control processes.
- Must have a good level of IT skillset.
- Have good problem-solving skills with excellent communication both written and verbal.
- High attention to detail, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment whilst prioritising workloads.
