REMOTE Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (Qualified) - Band 5
This is an exciting opportunity to join a diverse and expanding Talking Therapies Team in Barking & Dagenham. The Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner will provide high volume low intensity evidence-based step two interventions. This will predominantly be via telephone and video. Other forms of patient contact will also include group treatment and computerised CBT, ensuring variety in PWP caseloads. We value staff wellbeing and so the service also has an active wellbeing initiative. Engagement with this is encouraged through regular updates and promotion of wellbeing staff events.
In line with our trust values, we are a team that values and encourages continual improvement. As such, we have regular training from CBT clinicians. In addition to regular clinical skills supervision, we have links with the NELFT research department, reflective spaces for discussions around race, and Special Interest Groups such as the LGBTQ+, perinatal, and Older Adults groups. The focus of these groups is to increase accessibility of the service for these demographics.
We are a dynamic and empowering team and as such the post holders will be expected to work well within a team setting, however, should also be able to deliver an autonomous service, operating within recognised professional guidelines and the overall framework of the service policies and procedures. Post holders will be expected to work one evening per week as part of the service requirements.
**Training & Qualifications**:
- To hold a qualification from a recognised, accredited, post graduate PWP training programme.
**Experience**:
- Experience of working with mental health service users in an IAPT service in the NHS or voluntary sector
- Experience of working in a service with agreed targets in place, demonstrating clinical outcomes
Accreditation
Applicants where accreditation is in progress would be considered.
COVID-19 Vaccination
We continue to encourage all staff to ensure that they have been double vaccinated and received their booster. We recognise that taking the vaccine provides the best defence against COVID 19 for our patients, our staff and their families.
