**Salary**: £25,234 - £29,236 per annum (depending on experience)
Hours: 37 hours per week

We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Marketing & PR Officer to join our award-winning marketing team to contribute towards the development and implementation of the College’s marketing, PR and student recruitment strategy.

You will be a creative thinker, have a keen eye for detail and the ability to plan and deliver on brand multi-channel marketing communications that influence opinions and behaviour both internally and externally. You’ll do this by utilising a variety of communication channels including local, regional and national media, websites, social media, and much more. You will be highly responsive, with first-class communication and customer service skills, and a fantastic team player able to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Main

**Responsibilities**:

- Supporting the Senior Marketing & PR Officer in the development and delivery of a cycle of multi-channel marketing and communications activity to drive student recruitment, conversion and retention.
- Support on the delivery of 16-18 youth marketing initiatives, developing the NSCG youth facing brand, including, but not limited to: working on printed collateral, events, social media marketing, developing website content, advertising and digital media.
- Writing accurate, clear and compelling content for both traditional and on-line media targeting a range of audiences, including; producing and editing press releases, news stories, website content, social media, case studies and more. You will play a core role in the delivery of the teams’ public relations activity, working with local, regional and national media to drive positive media engagement and resultant coverage.
- Monitoring the media landscape, proactively sharing coverage with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Working with curriculum departments to positively promote course areas and showcase life at NSCG, with a view to supporting student recruitment.
- Assisting with the organisation of promotional events, seminars, exhibitions, recruitment fairs, including: Open Events, National Apprenticeships Week, end-of-year Celebration Awards, Art Exhibitions, attending as appropriate.

Required Skills and Experience:

- Ideally educated to degree-level in a related discipline, with demonstrable previous experience in a similar role.
- Ability to write clear, compelling copy for a range of purposes, with high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Creative thinking, with the ability to manage multiple projects from concept to completion, to set deadlines and budgets.
- Proactive thinking, with excellent customer service skills and the ability to manage the expectations of key stakeholders.
- Ability to work as a member of a closely-knit department, acting as a true team player
- Ability to work flexibly, with occasional evening and weekend working expected to cover key college events.
- Access to own vehicle and ability to travel within region for business purposes.
